What's Hoppin' this Week? 3/27

Spring is finally here and as the rest of the snow starts to melt, it's time to put away the winter clothes and put the barrel-aged stouts back into the cellar for next year. We've got events this week to that can help begin your transition to the longer days and warmer weather ahead. Cheers! 🍻

Thursday, March 28th


- Steady Flow Growler House in the Valley is hosting a Bingo night with Georgetown brewing from 6 to 8 pm. Facebook.

Saturday, March 30th


- English Setter Brewing is hosting a craft beer 101 course from 4 to 6 pm. For $25, you will be able to taste and learn about several varieties of beers from expert local brewers and expand your knowledge and vocabulary to impress all your friends. Space is very limited so reserve your spot ASAP. Facebook.

- Nectar is hosting a beer pairing dinner featuring Advanced Cicerone beer expert Bobby Wood from 6 to 9 pm. Bobby will be bringing special beers to pair with a menu created by Nectar Catering's head chef and will be talking about the process of properly pairing beer and food. Note that this event is at the Nectar Catering and Event space in downtown Spokane, not at their beer and wine bar in Kendall Yards. Space is limited. Facebook.

Monday, April 1st


- Bellwether is also hosting a beer pairing dinner featuring food from both Inland Curry and Sandpoint Curry from 6 to 8 pm. Tickets should be purchased in advance. Facebook.

Wednesday, April 3rd


- The Idaho Pour Authority in Sandpoint will be hosting a pint night to benefit local non-profit Angels Over Sandpoint. Grand Teton Brewing will also be in the house with raffle items and other fun stuff. Facebook.

- Brandywine Bar and Bottle Shop will be offering a special tasting of beers from Scottish brewery, Traquair starting at 5 pm. Facebook.

What's Hoppin' this Week? 3/20

Happy March Madness everyone. This is always one of my favorite times of year. Whether you looking for a place to watch all the games or avoid them completely, don't forget to drink local this weekend. GO ZAGS!

Thursday, March 21st


- The Globe bar and grill is hosting a pint night to benefit the local chapter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters. From 5 to 8 pm, $1 from every pint sold will be donated. Facebook.

Friday, March 22nd


- Pints Alehouse in North Spokane is celebrating their 7th anniversary with special barrel-aged releases  and Imperial IPAs starting at 3 pm. Stop in for a beer and congratulate them on 7 years! Facebook.

- The Cork and Tap in CD'A, a place I'm ashamed to admit I hadn't heard about until today, is hosting a Post Falls Brewing tap takeover starting at 6 pm. Now that they are on my radar, hopefully I'll be better about finding their events. Facebook.

Saturday, March 23rd


- Day two of Pints weekend-long celebration kicks off at 3 pm with 3 more beers tapped.

- English Setter Brewing is embracing its canine heritage by hosting an all day event to benefit SpokAnimal from noon to 9 pm. Full details can be found on Facebook.

- Nectar in Kendall Yards will be participating in Orval Day to celebrate the world famous Trappist Ale starting at noon. Facebook.

Sunday, March 24th


- Now that the Winter version of the Lester Cup has finished. It is time to see who has come out on top. Bellwether Brewing will be hosting the awards party from 1 to 7 pm. Please note that this is a PRIVATE EVENT only for people who completed their ballots. The fully stamped ballots will be your entry into the event, so don't forget them. Thursday, March 7th


- Today through Saturday, Mountain Lakes Brewing is hosting a fundraiser and donation drive to support Transitions, a local non-profit that provides services for homeless women and children. All donations will receive a $1 off pint coupons. Facebook.

- Nectar is kicking off their March featured flight which includes beers from two local favorites, Whistle Punk Brewing and Hidden Mother Brewing. Special flight deals from 6 to 8 pm. Facebook.

- Steady Flow Growler House downtown is hosting a Bingo night and tap takeover by Montana's Great Northern Brewing Company from 6 to 8 pm. Facebook.

- Reps from Lagunitas will be on hand up at the Riverbank Tap House in Northern Quest with special discounts on pints, brewery swag and good conversation. 6 to 8 pm. Facebook.

Friday, March 8th


- Perry Street Brewing is celebrating their 5th anniversary with a weekend long party starting at 4 pm. There will be new beers, a raffle with great prizes to raise money for T.E.A.M. Grant, and other fun stuff. Congrats on turning 5! Facebook

- Happy Trails to Brews is teaming up with Pelican Brewing for a party to celebrate the 21st anniversary of The Big Lebowski. Pelican will be bringing their newest release "The Brewed Abides" a White Russian inspired milk stout. 5 to 10 pm. Facebook.

- Community Pint will be the first spot in the area to sell the newly-canned versions of pFriem's excellent IPA and Pilsner. They will also have some special beers from pFriem on tap to celebrate the occasion from 5 to 8 pm. Facebook.

- Huckleberry's Natural Market is continuing their pop-up tasting series, which will this time feature beer from Oregon's Ordnance Brewing. 4 to 6 pm. Facebook.

Saturday, March 9th

- PSB's 5th anniversary party continues. 

- Huckleberry's  is bringing in Big Barn Brewing for a pop-up tasting from 1 to 3 pm. Facebook.

Sunday, March 10th


- Millwood Brewing will be donating $1 from every pint sold all day on Sunday to the Spokane Nordic Ski Association. Facebook
