What's Hoppin' this Week? 5/22

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! I've just about recovered from my Spokane Craft Beer Week celebrations, I visited plenty of places and had some truly incredible beer. Huge thanks again to anyone and everyone involved in making the week so successful. Check out my IG for a log of all my adventures.

With the holiday (and maybe to give everyone a chance to dry out a bit) it's a pretty quiet week around here as a far as formal events go, but the weather should be nice so if you're sticking around the area, stop by your local watering hole and enjoy some local beer. Cheers! 🍻

Spokane Craft Beer Week 2019 is here!

Starting today and running through next weekend, Spokane Craft Beer Week is celebration of craft beer in Spokane and the Inland Northwest as a whole. Obviously, this is a very exciting time to be a blogger about Spokane beer. It's kind of like my Super Bowl. Rather than a traditional What's Hopping-style rundown of all the events, I'm going to point you to the Spokane Craft Beer Week event calendar, which is going to be your best resource for navigating the mass of events and activities that are happening all around the region.

Here are a few highlights and a few things that aren't on the list:

- Thursday is Collabfest at the Steam Plant Event Center, from 4 to 9 pm. Over 20 beers will be on tap, all brewed as collaborations between local breweries. See the event page for full details.

- Also on Thursday, Nectar is hosting the release party for a collaboration beer from Whistle Punk and Seattle's Fremont Brewing from 6 to 8 pm. Facebook.

- Saturday is the 4th annual Spokane Brewer's Festival inside the Spokane Arena from noon to 7. It's one of the biggest beer festivals in the region featuring over 30 breweries. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

- Nectar is also celebrating its 4th anniversary Saturday and Sunday with an incredible tap list of both local and regional beers that are rarely seen on this side of the state. Facebook.

Obviously both the list here and on the website are not all-inclusive. I would guess that if you're favorite beer spot isn't listed, they are likely still doing something to celebrate this week, so keep an eye on social media or just stop in and find out.

I will be out and about all week, you can keep an eye on my stops via my Instagram and Facebook where I'll do my best to repost events as I see them. If you happen to be where I am, please stop by and say hi.

Cheers everyone, and enjoy the week! 🍻
